BFD Moto is pleased to announce that we are now offering Lectron Carburetors!

So what?

Lectron Carbs are unlike traditional carburetors. First off, there is no pilot jet, needle, or main jet. Instead, Lectron uses a metering rod that adjusts the proper amount of fuel for different throttle openings. The carb also has a power jet that adds more fuel from half throttle to wide open. Both the metering rod and power jet are adjustable and can be replaced with different sizes if needed.

What’s the benefit of replacing jets with one metering rod? The three main benefits to their carburetor are, 1) it is much easier to tune, 2) because of better atomization, it provides better fuel economy, and 3) it provides a much more linear power curve. Also, because of its unique design the Lectron Carb is said to be much less affected by altitude and temperature differences.
