GritShift is tired of replacing weak floppy skid plates every other week. A change needed to incur. The fatal flaw of the Sur Ron and talaria skid plate is the lack of support, most moto-style skid plates have a support structure (Frame rail) underneath the thin lightweight metals to support and protect the skid plate from excess deformation. This is the biggest design flaw in the Sur Ron and Talaria Skid Plates, they are self-supported, and the only thing that would stop the thin weak metal form from deforming is crucial components such as the motor, throttle connection, or regulator. Not ideal in any form of riding.
The GritShift R+D Team has spent months testing skid plates for the Talaria and Sur Ron, they have survived the Redbull TKO with no issues, But still, slight tweaks were made to improve the quality for the dedicated hard-enduro rider. We needed to optimize to ensure angles were precise for log jumps, and rocky step-ups. We are Happy to introduce the GritShift Heavy Hitter Skid plate. Your one-time solution to skid plates on your Favorite E-bikes. Features 7075 T6 Billet aluminum Side Supports, and replaceable billet aluminum bash plates. This has been stress analyzed to withstand over 4000 LBs of force to the bash plates.
Motorcycle Unit Shipping Policy
Shipping of motorcycle units is only allowed for specific cases. Please contact our sales team to check eligibility and payment process.
New and unused items within the first 10 days of delivery can be exchanged or refunded. Items must be returned with all manufacturer’s packaging and placed inside an external shipping box.
Important: Anything sent back to us without an external shipping box is breaking our refund/exchange policy and will be sent back to sender without a refund.
Helmets & Apparel
Any merchandise which has been “taken out for a ride” is considered used and cannot be returned. We encourage you to walk on your carpet if trying boots, or to wear your helmet indoors before heading out on the bike.
Vehicle Parts
Any part which has been installed or shows signs of attempting to be installed on a vehicle is non-returnable.
Easy Return Shipping
The cost for return shipping is a flat $25 + tax and will be deducted when we issue your refund.
Exchanges
If you’d like to make an exchange, you will need to place a second order for the new item.

Write your RMA number on the exterior of your shipping package. -
Ship your package
Take your package to a Canada Post outlet. We will contact you once we receive your return. You will see your monetary refund within 3–5 business days after the refund is issued.
Return Exemptions
Certain conditions and exceptions can be applied to our return policy. If you're unsure if your product qualifies, give us a call. There are certain items that we cannot accept as returns. These include:
- Chemicals that are open.
- Certain electronic items: only electrical items that have not been opened may be returned. OEM and aftermarket ignition components are not returnable (coils, stator, CDI).
- Acid-filled batteries.
- Due to customs fees on returns, international sales are final.
